Areas of Intervention
I work with individuals experiencing various emotional, relational, and psychological challenges throughout the life cycle. The areas listed below represent some of the main focuses of my clinical work, without limiting my practice to these issues.
Relationships and Bonding
Difficulties in romantic, family, or interpersonal relationships, including fear of rejection or abandonment, emotional dependence, difficulty trusting, emotional detachment, or repetition of relational patterns that cause suffering.
Emotional Regulation and Personality
Difficulties in understanding or regulating intense emotions, impulsivity, feelings of emptiness, emotional instability, fear of abandonment, or persistent relationship patterns.
Psychotherapy can help develop a greater capacity to recognize emotional states, understand them, and respond to them in a more integrated way.
Trauma and Relational Trauma
Support for individuals marked by traumatic events or by relational histories characterized by insecurity, neglect, abandonment, instability, or lack of emotional security.
This work seeks to understand how these experiences continue to influence emotions, relationships, self-perception, and ways of being in the world.
Grief and Loss Processes
Support for individuals facing the loss of a significant person or other experiences of loss and change. Psychotherapy can help to understand and emotionally integrate what has happened, respecting the pace and uniqueness of each grieving process.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach seeks to adapt to each person's history, needs, and life context. Rather than rigidly applying a method, I aim to build an individualized therapeutic process based on a relationship of trust, security, and collaboration.
My work is particularly influenced by Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, which places the relationship between therapist and patient at the center of the therapeutic process. Through this relationship, we seek to understand how past experiences and relational patterns continue to influence how the person sees, feels, and relates to others in the present. The therapeutic relationship can thus also constitute a space for experimenting with new ways of being with oneself and with others.
I also incorporate principles of Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), helping each person to better understand their emotions, thoughts, needs, and reactions, as well as to develop a more flexible understanding of others' experiences. This ability becomes especially important during times of heightened emotional intensity or relationship difficulties.
AEDP – Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy – places particular emphasis on emotional experience, safety in the therapeutic relationship, and each person's internal resources. It seeks to create conditions so that difficult emotions can be recognized, experienced, and transformed in a safe way.
In my work with trauma and relational trauma, I seek to understand how adverse experiences can continue to manifest in emotions, the body, the sense of security, and relationships. This work is carried out respecting the pace, limits, and resources of each individual.
In psychotherapeutic intervention for grief, I seek to accompany each loss process in its uniqueness, creating space to understand and emotionally integrate what happened and the changes that this loss brought to the person's life.
When working with children and adolescents, I also pay special attention to the family and relational context. Whenever appropriate, the involvement of parents or caregivers can be important to better understand the difficulties and promote changes that extend beyond the consultation.
My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where each person can explore their difficulties, better understand their experience, and develop greater autonomy, flexibility, and emotional balance.
My practice seeks to remain informed by scientific evidence, good professional practices, ongoing training, and regular clinical supervision, ensuring responsible, ethical, and constantly updated care.
